Learn@Sea

Learn@Sea is a collection of four courses built for the Marine Society – two in maths, one in English and one in writing. In 2016, the first two courses won the Seatrade Award for Investment in People.

The challenge

Producing effective content with a limited budget and time. Writing content for learners wanting to progress from the most basic maths and English to intermediate level.

My role

• Research trips to working vessels for user interviews and needs assessment
• Planning, instructional design and writing of Maths at Sea and English at Sea
• Storyboarding and build of website and assessment
• Designing graphics, animations and quizzes
• Course evaluation through user surveys
